Napoleon Hill is well known as the originator of personal improvement. His influential books and ideas have helped millions of people to attain their own goals for decades now. Napoleon Hill dedicated twenty-five years of his life studying the why of people failure. From the brilliant ideas and research of one of America’s greatest self-help authors, here are seventeen Napoleon Hill quotes to inspire you to consider greatness…

I think twice before I speak, because only your words can plant the seed of either success or failure in my mind. Napoleon Hill said,”I have learned that what a man can do, that a person can accomplish.” Never underestimate the power of the spoken word, especially when it comes to achieving your goals. Napoleon Hill said,”A man with the ability to work successfully and economically, but who does not expect to be successful, is like a man with a wheel who doesn’t know how to use his tool; he believes but does not do.”

I think twice before I do, because only your mind on a certain goal and action can prepare you for it and set you free. Napoleon Hill said,”You have to be certain that the power of thought and of action are joined, and that these two are inseparable.” The brain controls your body and soul, your spirit controls your mind. Napoleon Hill said,”A man is but the product of his thoughts what he’s done, and the man of actions is but the consequence of his ideas, preparations, and attempts.”

If you can’t do good things in a great way, do small things in a great way. Napoleon Hill wrote,”I often hear it said, do not go beyond your skills. Nothing can be further from the truth. You may reach your targets but do not go beyond your attainments.”

Napoleon Hill said,”A man’s work isn’t done when his work is completed; a man’s work is begun then and continued ” Do you want your dreams, desires, and goals to be realized? Then first comes thought, then there’s an implementation, then there is measuring, and then there is seeing the end results. Napoleon Hill wrote,”First come the ideas, then come the implementation, then are the measures, and last but not least will be the joy of the outcome.”

Napoleon Hill also said,”The limits of the human mind are permeable; neither can they be hidden, although the soul may escape for some time the scrutiny of the ordinary individual.” Do not put forth your goals, keep them within your reach, for when you have achieved them you will have the ability to see and know their greatness. If you can’t accomplish anything in your life by the power of your will alone, then it is not within the scope of your power, for will is only an outward form of the interior force that moves outwards toward its objective.

Napoleon Hill also said,”If you expect to climb to the peak of the mountain by keeping steadily in place, you will fail; keep on moving, and before you know it you will be standing at the top with the mountain at your back.” Both poverty and riches are the offspring of the same mind, the mind which believe a goal is a dream with a physical goal, and that when that goal is achieved there is not any need to continue working to achieve it. A positive mind sees a way it can turn into a success, and a negative mind looks for all the reasons why it can not or won’t.

Napoleon Hill was right about many things, and in his book Think and Grow Rich, he explained why there are no limits to the mind except those we assemble. That’s why he said,”The greatest discovery of my generation is that a man can alter his life by changing the thought which he receives from his environment.” So, if you believe that there are no reasons why you cannot become a success and poverty and riches will not stop flowing, then you are either not aware of them, or you’re creating them yourself. You can make a difference in this world and take control of your own destiny.
