Napoleon Hill is well known as the originator of personal improvement. His influential books and ideas have helped countless individuals to attain their own goals for decades now. Napoleon Hill dedicated twenty-five years of his life studying the why of people collapse. From the brilliant thoughts and research of one of America’s greatest self-evident writers, here are seventeen Napoleon Hill quotes to inspire you to consider greatness…

I think twice before I speak, because only your words can plant the seed of success or failure in my mind. Napoleon Hill said,”I have learned that what a man can do, that a person can accomplish.” Never underestimate the power of the spoken word, especially when it comes to attaining your targets. Napoleon Hill said,”A man with the skill to operate successfully and economically, but who doesn’t expect to be prosperous, is like a man with a wheel who doesn’t know how to use his tool; he believes but does not do.”

I think twice before I do, because only your thoughts on a certain goal and actions can prepare you for it and set you free. Napoleon Hill said,”You must be assured that the power of thought and of action are joined, and that these two are inseparable.” The brain controls your body and soul, your soul controls your mind. Napoleon Hill said,”A man is but the product of his thoughts what he’s done, and the man of actions is but the consequence of his thoughts, preparations, and efforts.”

If you can’t do good things in a great way, do small things in a great way. Napoleon Hill wrote,”I often hear it said, don’t go beyond your abilities. Nothing can be further from the truth. You may reach your targets but do not go beyond your attainments.”

Napoleon Hill said,”A man’s work is not done when his job is completed; a man’s job is started then and continued continually.” Would you like your dreams, desires, and goals to be realized? Then first comes believed, then there’s an implementation, then there is measuring, and then there is seeing the end results. Napoleon Hill wrote,”First come the thoughts, then come the execution, then will be the measures, and last but not least will be the joy of the result.”

Napoleon Hill also stated,”The limits of the human mind are permeable; neither can they be hidden, even though the soul may escape for a time the scrutiny of the average individual.” Do not set forth your objectives, keep them within your reach, for when you have attained them you will be able to see and understand their greatness. If you can not accomplish anything in your life by the power of your will alone, then it isn’t within the reach of your power, for will is only an outward form of the interior force that moves outwards toward its goal.

Napoleon Hill also said,”If you expect to climb to the top of the mountain by keeping steadily in place, you will fail; keep on moving, and before you know it you will be standing at the top with the mountain in your back.” Both poverty and riches are the offspring of the same mind, the brain which think a goal is a dream with a physical goal, and that when that goal is achieved there’s not any need to keep on working to achieve it. A positive mind sees a way it can become a success, and a negative mind looks for all the reasons why it can not or won’t.

Napoleon Hill was right about many things, and in his book Think and Grow Rich, he explained why there are no limitations to the mind except those we construct. That is why he said,”The greatest discovery of my generation is that a man can alter his life by changing the thought which he receives from his surroundings.” So, if you believe there are no reasons why you cannot become a success and poverty and wealth will not stop flowing, then you are either unaware of them, or you are creating them yourself. You can make a difference in this world and take control of your own destiny.
